DALLAS – For the first time this season, a Blue Raider is a Conference USA baseball player of the week.
After his complete-game shutout Friday in MT's 7-0 win over Rice, Middle Tennessee senior left-handed pitcher Peyton Wigginton has been named Conference USA Pitcher of the Week by league officials Monday.
Wigginton pitched his second complete game of the season, his second-career complete-game shutout and the third pitched by a Blue Raider in 2022. A native of Franklin, Tenn., Wigginton struck out a season-high 10 batters and held the Owls to two hits in the win.
