MURFREESBORO, Tenn.–– For the third time this season and the fourth time in her career, Middle Tennessee women's basketball's Savannah Wheeler is this week's Conference USA Player of the Week, announced Monday afternoon.
Scoring 57 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, recording four steals and dishing five assists, Wheeler led the Lady Raiders (20-4, 13-2 C-USA) to two wins against WKU (94-81) Feb. 9 and UAB (63-42) Feb. 11.
The Catlettsburg, Ky. native played her best game in a Lady Raider uniform Thursday, scoring a season-high 37 points on 11-of-16 shooting, while making 13-of-15 free throw attempts as MTSU scored a season-high 94 points.
