MURFREESBORO - Conference USA announced Player of the Week winners on Monday and Middle Tennessee's was honored for the first time in his career. Brooks brought home the Offensive Player of the Week award.
West, a r-sophomore from Pinson, AL, enjoyed a career day in his first collegiate start against Old Dominion. The running back rushed for a personal-best 170 yards and two touchdowns to help lead the Raiders to a convincing 41-10 win. West became the fourth different back to top the 100-yard mark this season.
It marks the 71st conference player of the week winner under with 22 coming from C-USA and 49 from the Sun Belt.
