NASHVILLE -- Revenge will have to wait another day for MTSU after the Blue Raiders fell to Vanderbilt 47-24 on the road Saturday.
MTSU failed to avenge their 17-13 loss at home to Vanderbilt last year, a game which they led 13-3 at one point.
"It's a frustrating, disappointing loss," coach Rick Stockstill said after the game. "I'm disappointed in how we played in some areas."
Despite outgaining Vanderbilt 495-344 in total yards, MTSU was its own worst enemy. Vanderbilt's average starting field position for the first half was around midfield, including three drives that started in MTSU territory.
