MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Competing in the first day of the Blue Gray Classic, No. 27 Middle Tennessee men's tennis came up short against No. 46-ranked Arizona (4-0) and Texas Tech doubles (1-0).
Starting off the match in singles play, the Raiders looked to make an opening splash against the reigning champs as jumped out to an early 5-2 lead against No. 64 Jonas Ziverts in the first set.
Junior battled on court two against No. 40-ranked Filip Malbasic with Malbasic conquering the first set over Edge, 6-3. In the second set, Malbasic defeated Edge, 6-1.
