TYLER, Texas - Middle Tennessee running back Tavares Thomas has added another watch list nod to his recent Doak Walker Award nomination.
The senior was one of 47 players nationally named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List, which was unveiled Tuesday at the annual East Texas Kickoff Luncheon.
The award annually recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity – specifically, tenacity to persist and determination to overcome adversity and injury in pursuit of reaching goals.
