MURFREESBORO – Middle Tennessee senior DQ Thomas was honored as the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week Monday after helping lead the Blue Raiders to a 35-10 win over Southern Miss. It is the second honor of Thomas' career.
Thomas led a dominating defensive effort from the Blue Raiders with a game-high 10 tackles, including 2.0 TFLs, two hurries and a 43-yard interception return for a touchdown.
It was also the 55th game of his career which tied the school record for the most games played with former great Jovante Moffatt.
