Master Teague waited his time last year as a back-up running back behind Taeler Dowdy.
It's now his time and the Blackman junior showed last Friday night he is ready to assume the role.
Teague rushed for more than 140 yards in less than a half, and the Blaze defeated Stewarts Creek 24-7 in the Rutherford County Jamboree at Blackman High.
"I think our team did a lot better than we did last year," said Teague, referring to the Blaze losing to Stewarts Creek in the jamboree. "We've got a long way to go, and we hope to get better the next few weeks.
