BATON ROUGE, LA. – Middle Tennessee women's tennis kicked off the spring break matches with an unblemished outing, defeating Southern 7-0 for their sixth-straight win Wednesday at the Southern Tennis Courts.
Swiftly securing the doubles point over the Jaguars, Blue Raider pair and shut out Southern's Tanaka Chakanyuka and Nandi Munyulwa, 6-0. They were followed by and Marta Peris clinching the doubles point for the Raiders on court 2 with a 6-1 win over Stephanie Mbaya and Anya King.
Leading 1-0 headed into singles, wasted no time on court 5 and quickly took down Nandi Munyulwa in the first set, 6-1.
