MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Taylor Sutton was named Conference USA Freshman of the Week after leading the Lady Raiders to the championship of the UNLV Lady Rebel Roundup during the weekend.
The true freshman point guard was outstanding in the two-day tournament as she was named most valuable player of the event after averaging 19.5 points and pouring in seven 3-pointers against Dartmouth and host UNLV.
"This is a nice honor for Taylor and it is certainly warranted," said Middle Tennessee Head Coach Rick Insell. "This time last year Taylor was playing in a high school Thanksgiving Classic.
