CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Middle Tennessee rode the momentum of 28 unanswered first-half points to a 35-21 win at Charlotte Saturday afternoon.
The Blue Raiders (5-5, 3-3) scored 28 unanswered after falling behind 7-0 to start the game and led 28-7 at the half with a dominating display of first-half football that moved them to within one game of bowl eligibility.
Middle Tennessee finished it off with a strong second half to win its second straight since quarterback Brent Stockstill returned from an injury suffered in the second game of the season at Syracuse.
