MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee gave Southern Miss quite a finish in the final game of the three-game series, but the Golden Eagles survived 6-5 to claim the series sweep.
Brett Stratinsky continued to swing a hot bat as he was 2-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and two runs scored. He was the only Blue Raider with a multi-hit performance.
The Blue Raiders jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first compliments of back-to-back doubles off of the bats of Aaron Antonini and Blake Benefield.
