MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee quarterback Brent Stockstill has been named to the Maxwell Award Watch List for the 81st annual award given annually to the nation's top football player.
Stockstill, a redshirt junior, is 21st nationally among active players in career passing yards and fourth in passing yards per game. He owns the Middle Tennessee career records in touchdown passes (61), 300-yard passing games (14), 400-yard passing games (2) and passing yards per game (303.3).
"It is an honor to even be on a list with some of the top football players in the country," Stockstill said.
