FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — Nov. 2, 2017 — The Wuerffel Trophy announces the eleven semifinalists for the 2017 Wuerffel Trophy, known as "College Football's Premier Award for Community Service," which is presented annually in Fort Walton Beach. Middle Tennessee's Brent Stockstill is on the elite list.
Stockstill, a redshirt junior, owns Middle Tennessee career records in touchdown passes (65), 300-yard passing games (14), 400-yard passing games (2) and passing yards per game (296.7).
"Each year I'm amazed by the quality of student athletes who are nominated by their schools, and this year is no different," said Danny Wuerffel.
