MURFREESBORO - The Maxwell Football Club today announced its watch lists for the 80th annual Maxwell Award and Middle Tennessee's and were two of 90 candidates to make the list.
The Maxwell Award, named in honor of Robert W. "Tiny" Maxwell, has been given to America's College Player of the Year since 1937. Maxwell's contributions to the game of football were extensive, including time as a player, a sportswriter and an official.
Stockstill, the C-USA Freshman of the Year and a Freshman All-American, threw for 4,005 yards and 30 touchdowns to lead all freshman nationally.
