If the Stewarts Creek baseball team is to continue making school history, it will have to be from the loser's bracket as Arlington defeated the Red Hawks 1-0 in 8 innings on the second day of the state tournament.
However, the Red Hawks began that difficult journey through the loser's bracket by defeating eight-time state champion Farragut 9-4 in an elimination game at Oakland after falling to Arlington earlier in the day.
In the second game, the Red Hawks trailed 4-2 going into the bottom of the fourth when they played six runs. Every player had a hit in the lineup for Stewarts Creek against Farragut.
