SMYRNA -- The Smyrna Bulldogs scored on their first four possessions of the second half and rolled to a 42-14 victory over the Siegel Stars Friday night.
"I told the kids this would be a pivotal point in our season and tell me a lot about what we had as far as a playoff run," Smyrna coach Matt Williams said. "I got a good answer. We have a high-character group and I'm proud of how they answered. They had a chance to make up for a bad week and they did that and then some."
It was a night of big offensive plays for Smyrna and a defense that forced five turnovers and kept Siegel offensive standout Lelan Wilhoite out of the endzone sparked by an eight-tackle performance by Josh Bailey.
