SMYRNA -- A 90-minute lightning delay wasn't able to slow down the Smyrna Bulldogs Friday night as they trounced the Stewarts Creek Red Hawks 65-20 in the Kia of Murfreesboro Game of the Week.
"To have to go right back in after only being on the field a few minutes, I think our kids handled it extremely well," Smyrna coach Matt Williams said. "We just told them to stay mentally tough and they still had to come back out and play a ballgame."
The Bulldog starters scored on nine of 10 possessions for the game, including the first four.
