MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Junior Elizabeth Slavinksy nets her first career game-winner in the 93rd minute to lift the Blue Raiders to their second-straight Conference USA victory and a 2-1 road win over the Charlotte 49ers on Friday evening at Transamerica Field.
"Charlotte is a strong team, so this was a big win for us," expressed head coach Aston Rhoden. "We created a lot of good chances tonight so putting one set in OT was rewarding for us."
Before the win, the Charlotte 49ers (6-5-1, 2-2-1 C-USA) were positioned right in front of the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders (7-5-1, 3-2 C-USA) at third in the C-USA East.
