Siegel's volleyball team (27-5, 9-0) defeated visiting Riverdale 3-1 in a district macthup on Thursday night.
Outside hitter Leah Poarch was able to help her team get the victory in four games with 16 kills, 12 digs and three aces.
In the first game, The Stars took an early 3-0 lead with two of the points coming from middle hitter Hannah Adams. Poarch made it 5-2 game on a kill and she made it 7-3 with back-to-back kills. Later on, setter Sophia Bossong made the score 18-11 with an ace, and Poarch was able to finish off the first game with a kill to make it 25-17.
