Siegel's softball team clinched the Region 4-AAA championship Wednesday night as the Lady Stars routed the Stewarts Creek Lady Red Hawks 7-0 at home.
Siegel made short work of the Lady Red Hawks behind pitcher Veronica Westfall's shutout performance.
The Lady Stars are scheduled to face Ooltewah on Friday in the Sectionals, although weather could play a factor and force the game to be played on Saturday.
In the first inning, the Lady Stars jumped ahead as Westfall hit a double deep to left field that was followed up by left fielder Jensen McElroy's double to send Westfall home for the early 1-0 lead.
