Sophomore pitcher Joss Ross Langworthy threw Siegel's baseball team into the state's Final Four on Tuesday -- literally.
Langworthy picked up a win in relief in the Stars' thrilling elimination game win over Collierville on Tuesday morning and returned later to throw five scoreless innings against Sevier County to send Siegel into the Class AAA championship upper bracket.
Siegel must win twice against Summit, which defeated the Stars on Tuesday, twice today, to reach the state title game. First pitch is at 2 p.m. at Siegel.
Langworthy dominated Sevier County in a 10-0, five-inning victory. He allowed just four hits, walked none and struck out four.
