Siegel first baseman Ryker Kristinus lived for the moment on Saturday night, and sent the Stars to their first-ever Spring Fling appearance in the process.
Kristinus sent the second pitch he saw from Rhea County pitcher Braxton Diekhaus over the left center field wall to give Siegel a dramatic 2-1 victory over the Golden Eagles in the Sectionals at Siegel.
"Oh my gosh, it's so exciting," Kristinus said. "He had been overpowering us the whole game. I mean I had gone 0 for 3 the whole game, and it couldn't have ended any better. It's amazing and it's a dream I've had my whole life.
