MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - After already being selected as the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, freshman Ashley Shimberg garnered national recgonition, Tuesday, as she was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week.
Shimberg scored four goals in her collegiate debut, Friday evening against Marshall, all coming in the final 18 minutes of the game. It is just the fifth time in program history that a Blue Raider has found the back of the net four times in one game and the first time since 2009.
Her four goals helped the Raiders to a 7-2 victory over Marshall as MTSU finished the season 3-3.
