FRANKLIN -- The Riverdale Warriors (5-1, 1-1) won a 57-45 win in a shootout over the Centennial Cougars (2-4, 2-1) Friday night in a game that featured the first meeting as head coaches between twin brothers Will (Riverdale) and Matt (Centennial) Kriesky.
"It's been built up more by everyone else," said Will Kriesky. "We both wanted a win, both clubs needed a win. We talked but we didn't talk football this week. I'm just proud of our kids. They never give up and have fought no matter what."
Riverdale ran head first into a hot Centennial offense led by quarterback Tre Stewart in his return from an injury.
