FRANKLIN -- Riverdale avenged two straight losses to Franklin Friday night, 24-7, but it didn't come without a price.
In the opening minutes of the third quarter, senior quarterback Christian Souffront scampered through the Rebels defense for a 32-yard run, but fell awkwardly after a tackle, and was removed from the field after sustaining a leg injury that forced him to leave in an ambulance.
"You know he's in the hospital right now," Riverdale coach Will Kriesky said. "We'll get some more information, it's a tough loss, I don't know if we will have Christian anymore this year.
