The Riverdale Warriors (3-0,1-0) did not miss a beat in their first game sans quarterback Christian Souffront, remaining unbeaten with an 18-6 victory Friday night over the Siegel Stars (1-2,0-1) in the Kia of Murfreesboro game of the week at Tomahawk Stadium.
It was the region opener for both teams.
"Our senior class is buying in to what we've been preaching," Riverdale coach Will Kriesky said. "They're working hard and doing a good job. I'm really proud of the seniors leading us. This is a very good Siegel team. (Lelan) Wilhoite is unbelievable and (Siegel) coach Michael Copley does an outstanding job.
