It took just one explosive inning amidst a pitcher's duel for the district leading Riverdale Warriors to take the 4-1 victory over Siegel in game one of the three game series with the Stars.
"We know where we're at, but we try not to look at the standings this early," said Riverdale coach Barry Messer. "We try to play every game like it's the most important game. We're not looking at our opponent or our record. Siegel is a great ball team and we knew that. We won a big one tonight, but you know what? We have to play them again tomorrow and the next day, so we need to stay humble and keep getting after it.
