After blowing out and eliminating Oakland 13-1 in the first game Saturday, the Smyrna Bulldogs tasted the other side of a blowout in the second game at the hands of the Riverdale.
Riverdale, also facing elimination, dominated Smyrna 11-1 in a game that was called after 4 1/2 inning due to the 10 -run rule.
"It was disappointing coming out on the short end last night (against Siegel) after a hard battle," Riverdale coach Barry Messer said, "but right now it's just about fight, fight, fight.
"We watched Smyrna crank out 18 hits in the first game and it was a little concerning, but if you get too wrapped up in what other people are doing you forget what you are doing, so we tried to keep the focus on us and our kids responded.
