TEXARKANA, AR – The Middle Tennessee men's golf team opened Conference USA Championship play with a 9-over par round of 297 to stand in a tie for 3rd. The tournament is being held at the Texarkana Country Club, a par 72 with a length of 6,935 yards.
The top four teams will advance to match play on Wednesday.
UAB leads after the first round with an even par 288 with UTSA in second after registering a 296. MT and UTEP had matching 297 scores.
"A solid round for us on day one with everyone contributing in some tough conditions," said Head Coach Brennan Webb.
