MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – After two wins at the MT Shootout last weekend, Middle Tennessee's men's tennis squad will travel to Virginia for a two-match road swing against VCU and William & Mary this weekend.
The Blue Raiders will open the weekend in Richmond against VCU, which leads the all-time series over MT, 6-0.
Javier Armantegui and Marten Jonsson lead the Rams in dual match singles wins with eight, with Armantegui winning matches at No. 3-6, while Jonsson spends most of his time on court two. Daryl Monfils, brother of the No. 11-ranked professional singles player in the world, Gael Monfils, heads the VCU lineup with a 7-6 mark on court one this season.
