SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – Middle Tennessee's comeback fell short Sunday, as UTSA squeezed by with a 10-9 win Sunday afternoon.
The Blue Raiders (20-27, 7-17) fell behind 8-3 early on in the game, before battling back to take the lead in the seventh. The Roadrunners (25-21, 13-11) responded in the eighth with two runs of their own to seal the game.
"I'm proud of the way our guys fought," said Head Coach Jim McGuire. "We could've easily rolled over with the way things are going lately, but we got back into the game and battled to the end.
