Boca Raton, Fla.- The Middle Tennessee softball team lost the final game of the three game set to FAU 8-6. The Raiders (25-18, C-USA 9-5) made an effort to fight back late in the game, but very held off by FAU (18-23, C-USA 5-10).
The Raiders struck first in the top of the first inning on a single to right that plated and , pushing the Raiders to a 2-0 lead.
FAU would have a better bottom half of the inning though, scoring four runs on four hits. FAU continued their solid offensive play into the second adding another three run on three more hits, opening up their lead to 7-2.
