Nacogdoches, Texas- The Middle Tennessee softball team was eliminated from the National Invitational Softball Championship on Friday. The Raiders (29-30) were led offensively by the two hits from Claire Smith in the 4-0 loss to the Jacks (36-22).
Corrina Dodd started the game for the Raiders and cruised through the first three innings. Dodd allowed one hit and struck out three the first time through the Jacks' order. The wheels fell off for the young pitcher in the fourth however, Dodd allowed two Jacks home runs that translated to four runs. The Alabama native was pulled after recording one out in the fourth.
