LEXINGTON, Ky. – A powerful opposing offense proved to be too much for the Blue Raiders on Friday afternoon as the No. 20 ranked Kentucky Wildcats earned a doubleheader sweep of Middle Tennessee in Lexington.
Senior Morgan Harris logged a pair of hits on the day and drove in the lone run of the first game while sophomore Lexi Cushing's ninth home run and 31st RBI of the season was the bright spot of the second game Friday.
The Blue Raiders looked like they would give the Wildcats a run for their money in game one as seniors Precious Birdsong and Morgan Harris strung together two hits in the first to give MT an early 1-0 lead, but couldn't muster any offense from that point on.
