"I appreciate everybody being here. I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season. I'm really excited to be here and representing our football team, our university and our conference in the Hawaii Bowl. I'm really proud of what this football team has accomplished this year. I'm sure every coach talks about adversity that a team has to overcome throughout the course of the year, and every team has to do that, but I don't know if I have ever been a part of a team that had to overcome as much adversity as they have.
