Q & A with Hall of Fame baseball coach Steve Peterson

Steve Peterson is MTSU's all-time winningest coach, amassing almost 800 victories in his 25 seasons as the Blue Raiders skipper.

Peterson was an assistant for six seasons under former coach John Stanford and made his head coaching debut at MTSU in 1988.

Peterson coached MTSU to three conference crowns and a pair of tournament titles in the Sun Belt Conference. His OVC success included eight championships, seven tournament titles and nine NCAA appearances.

Nearly 100 of his former players are either in coaching or have been drafted by the pros.

Peterson has coached nine All-Americans, developed Players of the Year and Pitchers of the Year in both the OVC and Sun Belt and has coached 48 First Team All-conference performers.
