Kendall Newson is a unique athlete who has gone from a professional in one sport to using his skills as a pro in another.

The former MTSU wide receiver was drafted in the seventh round by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2002 and ended his career with the Miami Dolphins.

After an injury ended his NFL career, Newson turned to his first love, fishing, and his life and career have taken off in many regards.

Newson was hired by Bass Pro Shops, he is on the Bassmaster pro fishing tour and he founded Teach a Kid to Fish, a non-profit organization he runs in the Atlanta, Georgia, area.
