MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee senior point guard Ty Petty has been named C-USA Player of the Week after helping lead the Lady Raiders to two road wins last during the weekend.
Petty ignited a high-octane offense that posted 80 points or more in wins at Old Dominion (80-63) and Charlotte (83-81) to move one-half game in front of WKU and two games in front of Charlotte in a tight league race.
Petty averaged 21 points, seven assists, 4.5 rebounds and three steals, while shooting 50 percent from the field, 36 percent from 3-point range and 83 percent from the free-throw line.
