Rutherford County swept the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football awards on Monday, with Oakland's Jacoby Stevens winning Class 6A Back of the Year and Siegel's Jacob Smith winning Kicker of the Year.
Stevens, the senior captain of the Patriots, had 27 receptions for 656 yards and nine touchdowns and averaged 24 yard per catch. He had 26 solo tackles, 23 assists, six and half tackles for loss and seven interceptions.
Stevens, a finalist for the award last year, will try to lead the Patriots to the Class 6A championship on Saturday night when they face Whitehaven in the BlueCross Bowl.
