Oakland's volleyball team overcame a slow start en route to defeating rival Riverdale 3-0 on Thursday night.
The match saw Jessica Paden lead her team with 13 kills and three blocks to earn the sweep.
"You got to put balls down, you got to always utilize your pass and utilize your sets," Paden said. "You got to do your job."
The Lady Warriors started the first set off strong with four consecutive aces from Mary Tod Newberry before a kill from Hannah Hassan was able to put a point on the board for the Lady Patriots.
