Oakland's volleyball team made short work of the Riverdale Lady Warriors on Tuesday evening, winning the match in three games, 25-16, 25-17, 25-16.
Jada Ballard had eight kills, two digs and an assist, while Kara Nelms had seven kills, four digs, two blocks and two aces to lead the Lady Patriots.
"Back rows really talking, front rows telling us what's open where to place the ball," Ballard said of the team communication, "Our setters really good at placing it in a good spot to make good plays."
In the first game, the Lady Patriots took an early 5-1 lead that was sparked by two aces by Nelms, and a block by Hannah Hassan.
