When Oakland and Blackman High School play one another, in any sport, it is sure to be an entertaining game. It was no different Tuesday night at the Inferno, as the Lady Patriots pulled out a 1-0 victory over the Lady Blaze.
"Our girls played hard," Oakland coach Jeff Boynton said. "We high pressed and tried to run the ball back as quickly as possible. I thought we controlled the game really well, we were attacking quite a bit but didn't really create as many clear-cut chances as I would've liked, but obviously, every district game is a tough, hard-fought game.
