Oakland pulled off a sweep at Siegel on Tuesday night in a battle of archrivals featuring two passionate fan bases.
In the boys' game, one that was much closer than the score would indicate, the Patriots defeated the Stars by 69-59.
It was what Oakland head coach Troy Bond called a "game of spurts."
An exciting fourth period saw a Siegel team that refused to go away after being behind by as much as 16 points. Despite multiple bursts of momentum in the final period, Oakland always found a way to get a big stop, and eight point was as close as the Stars got.
