Oakland completed the sweep over Stewarts Creek at home Tuesday night, with the Lady Patriots winning convincingly 64-48 and the Patriots winning a tight one 51-50.
With just 12 seconds remaining Cooper Baughn hit a free throw to put the Pats in the lead by one, and on the ensuing possession, Tavon Jelks stole the ball at midcourt with six seconds left. He was fouled as he tried to run the floor, sending him to the foul line shooting othe ne-and-one with a chance to increase the lead with just two seconds to go.
Jelks made the first free throw, but the shot was waved off due to a lane violation by teammate Kaleb Oliver, giving the Red Hawks one final chance to win the game.
