Oakland once again again won in blowout fashion as the Patriots dominated Hardin Valley49-7 Friday night in the state 6A quarterfinals at Ray Hughes Stadium.
On the third play of the game, Brendan Matthews hit Zarius Gamble for a 77-yard touchdown pass, and Oakland never looked back en route to the huge victory.
The matchup is now set for this Friday in what may be the game of the year between Oakland and Maryville, who eliminated the Patriots in the semifinals last season.
"We've been working for this matchup since January," said LSU commit Jacoby Stevens.
