Nyamadi, Dadzie strong through first day of C-USA Championship

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The first day of the Conference USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships were highlighted by performances of Atsu Nyamadi and Elizabeth Dadzie, who are first in the decathlon and second in the heptathlon, respectively.

Nyamadi, who ranks sixth in the NCAA in the decathlon with 7,800 points, started day one with a final total of 4,021 points.

The Ghana native opened the decathlon by placing fourth in the 100 meters in 11.30 second for 796 points. Nyamadi then rattled off four-straight first place finishes in the long jump, shot put, high jump and 400 meters, tallying 2,400 points.
