MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – On the second day of the Conference USA Track & Field Championships, Elizabeth Dadzie won the heptathlon and Atsu Nyamadi won the decathlon to become the first champions for the Blue Raiders at Dean A. Hayes Stadium.
Nyamadi continued his pace from the first day, winning three more events, while also placing second in the 1,500 meter to close competition. The Ghana native finished the two-day competition with 7.588 points, while UTSA's Adrian Riley was second with 7,064 points.
Nyamadi opened Friday's competition with a blazing pace in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing first in 14.
