SMYRNA -- The Siegel Stars softball team, the No. 1 seed in the District 7-AAA tournament, had an impressive performance against the Riverdale Lady Warriors when they defeated them 7-1 at Stewarts Creek.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Lady got going offensively as Cede Loftis reached on a single to center field. Catcher KaraLynne Levi put a bunt down to get Loftis to third. Pitcher Veronica Westfall hit a single to bring in Loftis to make the score 1-0.
Shortstop Vanessa Westfall hit a double to center, and Kristin Lee hit a double deep to left field.
