No. 1 Oakland took control from the outset Friday night and overwhelmed the Republic Trail Blazers 70-6 at Ray Hughes Stadium.
Running back Jeron Rooks helped generate big plays with two touchdowns on as many receptions and compiled 85 yards, while defensive back Malik Sibert led a stingy defense with an interception return for a touchdown.
"I had my eyes on the ball made sure my receiver didn't get past, and boom, it was there, right place at the right time," Sibert said, "I saw open field and I took it to the end zone."
The Patriots started off the game with a short field before fullback Lontavious Wilson caught a 10-yard touchdown pass to put his team up 7-0.
